Especially Leipzig, who are very confident that they will be able to successfully close the negotiations to bring Okafor to the team.

It depends on how well the details are handle. Milan have also given Okafor the chance to move teams. The player’s contract ends in mid-2028.

In the summer of 2023, AC Milan reached an agreement with RB Salzburg for the transfer of Swiss national team forward Noah Okafor. The deal was report to be worth €14 million plus potential performance-relate bonuses. However, the 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact, apparently disappointing both Stefano Pioli and, more recently, Paulo Fonseca. Okafor is now set to leave Milan for German side RB Leipzig.

In fact, AC Milan is willing to let the Swiss forward move to Germany for approximately €11 million, as they look to minimize their losses from the Okafor transfer and reinvest the proceeds in new players that their new head coach, Sérgio Conceição, requires. Although it is unlikely that the Portuguese coach has any grievances against Okafor, given that the forward suffer an injury in mid-December and is not expect to return to action before next week, meaning he hasn’t had the opportunity to disappoint Conceição.

On the other hand, Okafor’s statistics this season tell a rather stark story: he has scored just one goal in eleven Serie A appearances, along with one assist each in the Coppa Italia and the Champions League. However, according to Relevo’s analyst Matteo Moretto, for RB Leipzig, these numbers may be less significant than Okafor’s ability to attack space, utilizing his rapid pace.
